"The Heart of Boston"
MY inspiration for this piece was a map of the "heart" of Boston. In this project I used a red tissue paper to cover the map of Boston, from there I used paper mache glue to stick the tissue paper to the map. Then I used a board to paper mache small pieces of ripped up maps together to create the background. The final part was to paint blue and red "veins" on the map. I developed my art making skills by using a new technique of paper mache. I also communicated through my work because it is a good example of something that represents that I am from Massachusetts.
